'Light Through the Reeds (large)"
70cm x 70cm sand colourfix |
Ok so day three is here, I know this looks very similar to a previous piece I did but I swear it is not the same one! I did a you tube of a
smaller version of this piece (which is now hanging somewhere else) and my other half liked it so much I did a big version for our family room. It is surprisingly difficult to repeat something so abstract, and trying to remember the colours I used was tricky too...
Of course I can see it is not the same one! I love the mark-making in this one, which is more sure and definite than the last version... We artists learn so much by revisiting a familiar and favorite subject! (Monet and his water lilies, lol...). Love the palette of this piece. Very peaceful.
ReplyDeleteHi Arena, thankyou for your kind comment :) I agree with you about favourite subjects, Monet's Waterlillies are a personal fav of mine...:)
DeleteBeautiful. I love it
ReplyDeleteThanks Julie, I am finding this 30 in 30 challenge quite exciting...:)
DeleteJust found your work through 30 in 30. Love your composition, the subtleness of this painting and the reflections and gentle glow.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan, I am really loving the 30 in 30 challenge. I have found several new artists to follow too :)
